Greetings,
Do you know who invented the
Turbine Meter?
Most historians credit Reinhard Woltman, a leading German
engineer during the late 1700's with the invention of the
first turbine flowmeter in 1790.
Meinecke introduced their first turbine flowmeter utilizing
the Woltman principles of flowmeter design in 1897. But, that
wasn't their first... H. Meinecke, Co. built their first
water meter 25 years earlier in 1872.

Meters - 130 years old and counting! |
 |
For
over 30 years, the Brooks Model 3332 & 3352 Propeller
Meters were recognized as one of the best meters on the
market. What most customers didn't know was that they
were imported them from H. Meinecke AG, located in
Hanover, Germany.
The company's roots stretch all the way back to 1843.
Where, in a small factory in Breslau-Carlowitz, Germany,
Master Locksmith, Heinrich Meinecke designed and built
bank vaults and safes.
Thirty years later, Heinrich Meinecke II convinced his
father to consider using a part of the factory to produce
water meters...
