Performance Data - OPTO Style Pulser

Pulsers: OD 01 - 02 - 03 - 04

Performance Data
High Frequency Pulsed Output
Type: OPTO-01/02/03/04

Description: The OPTO-01 is a 2 -wire current switching device for use with the WP/D Cold Water Meters. The   OPTO-02 is  for use with WP/D Hot Water Meters (can be used for cold water applications if needed).  This type of pulse is normally used for conversion to analog signals, (4-20mA) or inputs to high definition dosing/batching systems.

Principle: Light pulses are transmitted by an IR light diode onto a reflector wheel. The reflections are picked up by two detectors in the sensor head and processed electronically.  The micro-electronics are located in the capsule of the cable

Sensor Principle IR-reflex light barrier acc. To DIN 19234, plug type
Specification Supply voltage 8.2 Vdc
Current with reflection < 1.2 mA
Current without reflection > 2.1 mA
Forward/reverse identification integrated by an additional current barrier at 1.5mA
Pulse Duration Depending on flow in the meter
At meter stop continuous pulse possible
Protection IP 65 (DIN 40050)
Temperature Range OD 01/03: ambient temperature < 70°C

OD 02/04: medium temperature < 50°C
